AI Solution Architect

Location : North of London, Hertfordshire - Hybrid working with client visits

Salary : Up to £120,000 DOE

Note : Full UK driving licence required

A growing technology consultancy is seeking an AI Solution Architect to act as the technical authority across client engagements. This is a highly client-facing role, working alongside commercial teams during discovery, design and solution shaping, translating business challenges into scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions.

You will own end-to-end solution design, shape the organisation's AI reference architectures, and ensure solutions are technically robust, commercially viable and aligned to client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead across client discovery workshops and solution design engagements
• Work closely with sales and commercial teams to shape AI-led solutions that address real business challenges
• Translate customer requirements into clear, deliverable architectures
• Own and evolve internal AI reference architecture frameworks
• Design scalable, secure and best-practice solutions across the Microsoft AI, data and automation ecosystem
• Provide technical assurance and credibility to senior client stakeholders
• Balance technical excellence with commercial viability and delivery feasibility
• Support pre-sales activity including proposals, bids and client presentations

Required Experience & Skills

• Senior-level experience as a Solution Architect within an MSP, IT services or consultancy environment
• Strong expertise across the Microsoft AI ecosystem, including: Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Azure AI
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI architectures, including:
• Designing and deploying LLM-based solutions such as copilots, chatbots and knowledge assistants
• Understanding of prompt engineering, grounding and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Applying governance, security and ethical considerations in AI deployments
• Strong background across the Microsoft data and automation stack, including: Power BI, Power Automate, Broader Power Platform
• Proven experience designing and owning end-to-end client solutions
• Confident, credible client-facing communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial awareness within services-led organisations
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes
• Experience working alongside sales and delivery teams in a consultative environment
