Job Title: Infrastructure EngineerLocation: Bristol (1 day per week in office, remainder remote/hybrid)Sector: Managed Service Provider (MSP)All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, unfortunately my client cannot provide sponsorship.About the RoleWe're working with a growing Managed Service Provider looking to appoint an experienced Infrastructure / 3rd Line Engineer to join their technical team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong all-round MSP background who's comfortable working across cloud, security, infrastructure, and networking, and who enjoys resolving complex, escalated support issues for a broad client base.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a senior escalation point for complex technicalSupport and maintain cloud environments across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365Support and maintain client infrastructure, including servers, virtualisation, and storageSupport networking environments switches, firewalls, routing, VPNsSupport security-related issues across client environments endpoint security, patching, identity/access management, and general security best practiceDiagnose and resolve root-cause issues rather than just symptoms, reducing recurring ticketsDocument technical solutions, processes, and configurations clearly for internal knowledge base and client recordsMentor and support junior engineers (1st/2nd line), helping to develop their technical knowledgeLiaise directly with clients on more complex or sensitive technical matters, ensuring clear communication throughoutWhat We're Looking ForProven experience working within an MSP environment at 3rd line level for 3 years + essentialStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and services including Azure Landing Zones, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Local. and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, etc.)Solid understanding of IT security fundamentals endpoint protection, identity/access management, patching, and general best practiceInfrastructure experience servers, virtualisation (e.g. VMware/Hyper-V), storage, backupsNetworking knowledge firewalls, switches, VPNs, routing/switching fundamentalsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, comfortable owning complex escalations end-to-endExcellent communication skills, confident dealing directly with clientsRelevant certifications desirable (e.g. Microsoft Azure/365 certifications, networking certs) but not essential if experience is strongWhat's On OfferSalary up to £60,000 DOEGreat training and progression, with certification supportPrivate healthcare25 days annual leave + bank holidaysEnhanced pensionTPBN1_UKTJ
