Sales Development Representative
Role: Sales Development Representative (SDR) - MSP / IT Services
Location: Near Preston - 3 days onsite 2 days remote
About:
We're working with a growing Managed Service Provider near Preston who are looking to bring in a Sales Development Representative to help build their new business pipeline.
This is a pure new-business role, strong outbound prospecting, qualifying inbound leads, and booking meetings for the closing sales team. You won't be expected to close deals yourself, but you will be the engine that keeps the pipeline full.
What you'll be doing:
• Proactively generating and qualifying new sales pipeline through calls, email and LinkedIn outreach
• Identifying and engaging key decision-makers within target accounts
• Working closely with Sales and Marketing on outreach campaigns and messaging
• Qualifying inbound leads and progressing them through the funnel
• Booking qualified meetings and demos for the field/closing sales team
• Keeping CRM records and activity logs accurate and up to date
• Feeding back market trends, objections and competitor insight to the wider team
What we're looking for:
• At least 1 year's experience in a Sales Development or lead generation role - ideally within an MSP, IT Services, or wider technology environment
• Comfortable with outbound prospecting and proactive engagement - this is an activity-driven role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Resilient, organised and self-motivated - you'll be managing your own pipeline day to day
• Commercially minded, with a clear understanding of how your activity drives growth
• Some understanding of MSP services, recurring revenue models, or IT buying cycles is a strong advantage
