Cheltenham | Hybrid (2 days WFH)

Salary: Up to £65,000 + car allowance + benefits

A well-established Managed Service Provider based in Cheltenham is looking to add an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to its growing technical team. This is a hybrid role offering a great balance between customer-facing consultancy work and home working.

You’ll work with a varied customer base, covering on‐premise, hybrid and cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on VMware, Windows Server, security and Microsoft 365.

The Role

• Deliver infrastructure consultancy and project work for MSP customers
• Design, implement and support data centre and hybrid solutions
• Act as a technical escalation point and trusted advisor to customers
• Spend time on-site with customers as well as working from home (circa 2 days per week WFH)
• Collaborate closely with service desk and projects teams

Technical Requirements

Essential experience:

• Strong MSP or IT consultancy background
• Solid data centre experience, particularly VMware
• Strong Windows Server skills (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs)
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
• Strong understanding of security principles (hardening, MFA, backup & DR)
• Confident dealing directly with customers
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Desirable:

• Azure / hybrid cloud exposure
• Backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Microsoft or VMware certifications
