This is a key role at an exciting time for our organisation, as we bring two Microsoft environments together and deliver a major Microsoft 365 tenant migration. About the Role As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a central role in our Microsoft 365 tenant to tenant migration and help shape our combined Microsoft cloud environment. Much of your work will be project based, including scoping, planning, designing and delivering technical solutions. You will also support day to day infrastructure operations as a senior escalation point. You will work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and wider cloud services, helping us build a secure, resilient and well managed environment. You will also support cyber security operations, maintain documentation, and work closely with colleagues across IT and the wider business. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Microsoft technology, enjoys learning and brings a proactive, solution focused approach. Key Responsibilities: Project and technical delivery Plan and deliver our Microsoft 365 tenant to tenant migration Configure, administer and optimise Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Azure Support the provisioning, monitoring and security of our cloud infrastructure Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud based solutions Ensure systems are optimised for performance, reliability and security Support backup and disaster recovery processes Operational support Act as a senior escalation point for BAU infrastructure issues Maintain documentation for systems, configurations and processes Support cyber security operations and respond to incidents Ensure regular patching and system updates Follow structured testing and change management processes Work with the IT Operations Manager to maintain audit compliance Collaboration and communication Work closely with IT colleagues across both organisations Document risks and mitigation plans for the migration programme Share knowledge across the team and support continuous improvement What We’re Looking For Must haves: Experience working in a Microsoft first environment using Microsoft 365 Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive Experience with Microsoft Entra ID including Conditional Access and hybrid identity Experience with Microsoft Intune including Autopilot, compliance and configuration Strong Azure experience including virtual machines, networking and storage Experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant to tenant migrations Solid understanding of networking including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and firewalls Scripting experience using PowerShell or Bash At least five years experience in an IT infrastructure role Active Microsoft certifications at level 100 or above, or equivalent experience Nice to haves: Experience using Quest migration tooling Knowledge of Microsoft Purview Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR or Crowdstrike Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel or Azure Monitor SQL Server administration Experience with MDM tools such as PatchMyPC or Ninja Cyber security experience or relevant accreditation Experience working within a merger or integration programme Exposure to ITIL and formal change management Personal qualities Strong communication and problem solving skills Excellent teamwork and customer service skills Curious, proactive and keen to learn Able to work independently and collaboratively Calm, organised and able to manage competing priorities Benefits At SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
