Oracle Support Accountant (Interim)
Location: Chichester (PO19)
Pay Rate: £33.42 PAYE / £43.06 Umbrella per hour
Contract: Until 31st July 2026 (Temporary)
Hours: 37 hours per week (09:00–17:00)
Start Date: ASAP
Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Oracle Support Accountant to join a local authority finance team in Chichester. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong Oracle Fusion, HCM, and EPM experience to support critical financial systems and processes.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting Oracle Finance systems, ensuring smooth integration, accurate reporting, and effective financial processes. This includes working closely with finance teams and external service providers to maintain and improve system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily integration reconciliation process
- Take ownership of monthly period-end close activities
- Triage and manage helpdesk queries with the Managed Service Provider
- Lead on Chart of Accounts updates and master data changes
- Support Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) including forecasting and system maintenance
- Develop and enhance financial reporting from Oracle systems
- Provide support across sub-ledger activities and processes
- Support the implementation and integration of Oracle HCM/Payroll from a finance perspective
- Assist with system updates (quarterly Oracle / monthly EPM)
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Oracle Finance roadmap
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience working with Oracle Fusion Financials
- Strong understanding of Oracle HCM and Finance integration
- Experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)
- Background in local authority or public sector finance
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience supporting system implementations or upgrades
- Knowledge of financial reporting tools within Oracle
- Experience working with managed service providers
