Rate: £320 per day | Outside IR35

We’re supporting an NHS organisation to recruit an experienced Digital & Data Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of NHS digital projects, including clinical systems, data, and transformation initiatives.
This is a hands-on delivery role suited to someone confident running projects end-to-end within a complex NHS environment.
The role
You’ll be responsible for managing one or more digital and data projects, working closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure safe, timely delivery and clear benefits realisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end delivery of NHS Digital & Data projects within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters
- Ownership of all project governance: PIDs, plans, RAID logs, highlight reports and closure reports
- Operating confidently within PRINCE2 / Agile frameworks
- Managing dependencies across interrelated projects and programmes
- Working closely with clinical leads, operational teams, CIO/CDIO office, PMO and suppliers
- Supporting business case development, option appraisals and procurement activity where required
- Ensuring benefits tracking and effective handover into BAU
- What we’re looking for Proven experience as a Project Manager within the NHS
- Strong background delivering Digital, Data, EPR, PAS, or IM&T projects
- Comfortable engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders at pace
- Solid governance discipline and documentation standards
- PRINCE2 and/or Agile qualification(Practitioner preferred)
- Able to operate independently while collaborating closely within a PMO/programme structure
