Join Our Team:

This is a pivotal role within our Environment Programme Delivery Office (EPDO), where you’ll lead performance monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of environmental programmes. Working closely with project managers, senior leaders, and stakeholders, you’ll foster a culture of transparency, insight, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that provide accurate programme and project insights
  • Support performance reviews and KPI tracking to inform planning, risk, and assurance
  • Build and refine reporting tools that support programme boards and delivery teams
  • Champion continuous improvement and embed performance monitoring across projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance delivery and transparency
  • Support governance, assurance, and risk management processes

Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree in business analytics, data science, information management, or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or Python
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and inclusively
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to public service values
  • Familiarity with programme management methodologies and performance frameworks

Benefits Include:

  • Employer pension contribution of approximately 28.97%
  • Generous annual leave: 27.5 days plus 6 optional days and 8 public holidays
  • Flexible working arrangements including job share, compressed hours, and partial home working
  • 26 weeks of full pay parental leave (subject to eligibility)
  • Support for professional qualifications and one paid annual subscription
  • Annual health check and £15 monthly wellbeing allowance
  • Free on-site parking and complimentary refreshments
  • Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme and exclusive employee discounts

Working With Us:

We’re a values-led organisation committed to making a better future for people and the environment in mining areas. Our work spans everything from responding to coal mining hazards to pioneering renewable energy through mine water heat. We’re inclusive, trusted, and progressive — and we’re proud of the impact we make every day.
