Business Development Representative
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to join a dynamic team supporting growth in the ERP and retail technology space. In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying and nurturing leads generated by marketing, ensuring a strong pipeline of opportunities, and handing them over to the sales team.
You will thrive in a solution-led sales environment, ideally with experience in retail software, ERP, or Microsoft ecosystems, and be confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Qualification & Nurturing
- Engage with inbound and outbound marketing leads via phone, email, social, and digital channels
- Qualify prospects based on industry fit, needs, budget, timeline, and decision-makers
- Nurture early-stage opportunities to progress them to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Maintain accurate records in Hubspot CRM
Sales & Marketing Alignment
- Provide feedback on campaign performance and lead quality
- Collaborate with Sales Executives to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities
- Support outbound initiatives, targeted campaigns, and account-based marketing activities
- Assist in refining lead qualification processes and messaging
Events & Brand Presence
- Support trade shows, exhibitions, partner events, and conferences
- Engage with attendees, qualify leads on-site, and ensure effective follow-up
- Represent the company professionally as a brand ambassador
Reporting & Insights
- Report on pipeline activity, lead conversion rates, and qualification outcomes
- Share market insights, competitor activity, and customer feedback with the Sales & Marketing Director
Experience & Skills Required
- 5+ years in a Business Development, SDR, or Inside Sales role
- Experience in B2B software, ERP, SaaS, or Microsoft partner environments
- Strong understanding of lead qualification and sales pipelines
- Confident communicator with experience engaging senior decision-makers
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Collaborative, commercially minded, and proactive
- Resilient and target-driven
- Strong relationship-building and active listening skills
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Knowledge of LS Retail or retail/hospitality solutions
- Familiarity with Hubspot CRM
- Experience supporting or attending trade shows and industry events
