Storage Engineer

Role:

Storage Engineer / Storage Specialist / HPE Nimble Engineer

Key Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience with HPE Nimble Storage arrays

• Configuration and management
• Creating and managing volumes, snapshots, replication, etc.
• Familiarity with HPE InfoSight monitoring

• Peer Persistence & Replication Setup

• Understanding of synchronous/asynchronous replication
• Setting up quorum witness
• Configuring automatic failover between arrays

• VMware Integration Skills

• Experience with ESXi 8
• Multipath I/O (MPIO) configuration
• Knowledge of datastores and host connectivity

• Networking Knowledge (Intermediate level)

• Understanding of iSCSI / Fibre Channel connections
• Familiarity with storage networking, VLANs, and IP configuration

• General System Administration Skills

• Basic understanding of Linux/Windows server environments
• Ability to troubleshoot storage connectivity or performance issues

Preferred Certifications (if available):

• HPE ASE / HPE Master ASE – Storage Solutions Architect
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• CompTIA Storage+ or equivalent
