Apprentice Investments Officer

An exciting Apprentice opportunity has arisen to work with our Asset Management and Programme Works Service as Investment Assistant and work towards a Business & Administration qualification at Level 3.

Role

1) Maintain comprehensive financial and asset records
2) Assist with the management of defined budgets
3) Raise orders in OEO and OHMS and ensure invoices are processed within set timescales
4) Assist in the contract administration and coordination of investment work
5) Provide administrative support and ensure effective and appropriate
administrative systems are in place to support the work of units within the Investment Service
6) Recording and collating statistical and other information, producing returns and monitoring reports
7) Assist with the management of IT systems including data inputting, manipulation and retrieval of data
8) Assist in the production of reports, specification’s, estimates, drawings and other information as required
9) The collection, quality checking and collation of information from a variety of sources
10) Liaise effectively at all levels with other SCC sections, contractors and other agencies
11) Provide and collect information to and from service users both in writing, over the telephone, and in person. Taking any necessary action to follow up
12) Undertake occasional site visits and basic surveys to customers and properties to ensure the effective delivery of investment activities
13) Assist in the preparation of display materials and organisation of tenant consultation events that relate to the investment programme
14) Assist with training activities
15) To undertake any other related duties and responsibilities as may arise
16) All duties and responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with agreed SCC policy and procedures, in particular the policies on Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety
