Information Systems Specialist (Automation)

Are you passionate about transforming the way organisations work through automation and low-code solutions? We're looking for a talented Power Platform Developer to join our forward-thinking Automation Team within ICT & Digital Innovation as an Information Systems Specialist.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering our digital transformation. You will be supporting the delivery of the Digital and Customer Experience strategy, working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to implement impactful solutions. This is your chance to shape how we harness Microsoft Power Platform and other tools (e.g. Visual Studio) to drive innovation and improve services for our customers.

We are looking for a person who is skilled and can evidence experience in:

  • Using the Microsoft Power Platform with a focus on Automation.
  • Developing digital solutions to resolve problems.
  • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Training and mentoring junior developers to support their development.
  • Staying up to date with features and updates in Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies.
  • Developing and deploying applications through a structured project environment.
  • Testing, and troubleshooting applications to resolve issues.
  • Working in an agile environment.
  • Communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
