Clinical Systems Support Specialist
Job summary
The role is part of asmallteam ofband 5 and 4staff who manage the electronic patient records (EPR), Rio & SystmOne, on behalf of the Trust. The rolehelps frontline staff and serviceswith these systems and works collaboratively to define and implement improvements.
The post holder will have responsibility for their work in supporting and managing RiO and SystmOne and the production of any generic training materials and courses.

Main duties of the job
Provide administration and support for RiO and SystmOne, including maintenance of Master Tables, national coding systems, GMC and nursing registrations. Support integrated systems such as IaPTUS, GP Connect, Shared Care Record, and PRISM. Troubleshoot escalated user account, Registration Authority, smartcard, and RBAC issues. Create and manage waiting lists, outpatient clinics, wards, document templates, clinical assessment forms, and operational reports. Assist in diagnosing and resolving system issues, liaising with colleagues where required. Deliver online and telephone support to staff, providing guidance on system use and resolving issues. Support information reporting tasks and provide cover for colleagues when needed. Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly guidance.
Design, develop, and produce digital learning content aligned with local, regional, and national priorities. Work closely with Trust services to ensure learning materials support effective use of RiO and SystmOne. Maintain accurate, accessible, and inclusive e-learning packages and supporting materials. Identify and address digital learning needs across stakeholder groups. Process and maintain training documentation, including version control of published guidance. Use digital learning and multimedia tools to enhance training resources and evaluate the effectiveness of learning materials following implementation and review cycles.
