Job summary

The Sunshine Day Nursery and the Sunshine Holiday Club provide a high quality childcare service predominantly for employees of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and other NHS Organisations.

This assists the Trust in meeting Equal Opportunities and flexible working objectives by caring for employee's children in a safe, stimulating and interesting environment.

Main duties of the job

You will be key to supporting the nursery manager/deputy manager in the business administration of the nursery. The main focus of the role is on general office duties including financial processes and managing the nursery electronic database system.

Daily responsibility for organising financial and HR information, including maintaining nursery electronic database systems, recording children's attendance, generating invoices and recording payments.

Qualifications

Essential
  • bility to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills to Level 2 as evidenced by: GCSE level C/4 or above in maths and english or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential
  • Significant experience of administration in within a customer service environment.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining admin procedures and systems.
  • Experience of processing high volume financial data, To include ; identification of irregularities and liaison with third parties to address and resolve issues.
Desirable
  • Experience within a childcare setting
  • Experience of the Parenta Software system or similar.

Skills

Essential
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Highly developed customer service skills
  • Excellent Numerical and analytical skills
  • Developed IT skills. Word and Excel.
  • High degree of organisation

  • Ability to use a database to extract information
