Project Accountant
“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” Abraham Lincoln Sheridan Maine is partnering with a Southwest based organisation to recruit for an Interim Project Accountant. This is a contract assignment responsible for leading the implementation of the new system.Key responsibilities of the Project Accountant:
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of the systems implementation.
- Project manage to ensure key deadlines and project objectives are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external providers to design, configure, test, and implement the system.
- Ensure finance processes and controls are embedded within the system, and support data migration, validation, and testing.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to the finance team to ensure smooth adoption and post-implementation optimisation.
- Support additional finance projects, as required.
- Plus, a range of additional activities related to the project.
- A proven track record in systems change, finance process improvement and projects.
- Project management, planning and project delivery experience.
- Strong ERP systems knowledge.
- Excellent communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
