We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual with exceptional communication and organisational skills. As a Registration Authority Agent, you will help ensure the governance and security of information accessed via NHS applications using smartcards. You will be responsible for producing smartcards, confirming the identity of users, and ensuring staff have the correct level of access for their role, in line with local and national Registration Authority policies, thus maintaining the security and integrity of data held within NHS spine applications.

Ensuring service levels and targets are met as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across any NHIS base as well as other customer/partner bases as and when required therefore a clean driving licence and access to a car is required.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

Knowledge

Essential
  • Knowledge of a range of operational procedures.
  • Ability to collate and communicate information from a wide variety of sources.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages with advanced keyboard skills.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of a range of Trust policies and procedures.
  • Aware of current healthcare ICT issues.

Experience

Essential
  • 2 years IT experience.
  • Experience of Microsoft desk top packages includes Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Contractual

Essential
  • Car driver with own car.
