Business Development Manager

Salary: £26,250 basic plus commission Location: Cobalt Business Park, Newcastle Working pattern: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 8am–4pm with early finish on Fridays About Shoptimised Shoptimised was built to solve a real problem. Our co-founders were running a PPC agency managing Google Shopping for over 50 clients with no control over product feeds. Unable to find an affordable solution on the market, they built one. The Shoptimised Platform gives businesses full product feed optimisation control, and since then we have continued to expand our offering — constantly innovating to stay competitive and deliver the best possible service to our clients.The role As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by identifying and engaging with potential clients in our target market. You'll build and manage a personal pipeline, proactively matching our services to client needs and converting opportunities into ongoing Shoptimised subscriptions. Acting as the voice of the business, you'll confidently communicate with prospective customers and work towards realistic targets with enthusiasm and determination.What you'll be doing• Achieve monthly and quarterly new business targets, driving individual and team success• Support the company's strategic growth by identifying and actively pursuing new opportunities• Consistently meet KPIs to develop robust personal and company sales pipelines• Leverage multiple sales channels to proactively source and engage potential clients• Build and maintain strong relationships with new business prospects through calls, emails, and direct outreach to both cold and warm leads• Qualify inbound enquiries and guide warm leads through the sales process to conversion• Deliver impactful new business pitches and conduct engaging online sales presentations• Maintain a well-organised database of potential clients and leads using CRM and prospecting tools What you'll bring• Experience in a sales role with a track record of outbound sales activity • Confidence engaging with prospective clients over the phone and in presentations• Resilience to handle rejection, persistently pursue leads, and maintain a positive outlook• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Ability to manage a sales pipeline and prioritise tasks to meet targets• A self-starter attitude with a willingness to take initiative and identify new opportunities• A clear focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets• Experience within ecommerce — desirable What's on offer• £26,250 basic salary plus a highly competitive commission scheme• 37 days annual leave per year• Core hours Monday to Thursday 8am–4pm with an early finish on Fridays• Family-first culture with regular office fun days, bi-annual parties and awards• Healthcare cash plan via Medicash• Paid sick leave and enhanced maternity and paternity pay• Free onsite parking at Cobalt Business Park, Newcastle• Committed investment in staff development and progression, including a new internal learning programmeShoptimised is an equal opportunities employer.
