Head of IT - Security
We’re looking for a hands-on Head of IT to lead and evolve our internal technology, infrastructure and cyber security capability.

This is a leadership role with real breadth. You’ll manage a small team of three/four, take ownership of our Microsoft environment, oversee cyber security and infrastructure performance, and make sure our technology estate is secure, reliable and fit for a high-performing international business.
You’ll be joining at an exciting point: our cloud migration is complete, so the focus is now on continuous improvement, resilience, security and smarter use of technology, not wholesale redesign.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and developing a team of 3 across support, applications and infrastructure
- Owning day-to-day IT operations across a c.200-user UK/US business
- Managing and improving our Microsoft estate, with a particular focus on Intune and Defender
- Overseeing cyber security, infrastructure monitoring, patching, access controls, backup and recovery
- Driving continuous improvement across the IT environment
- Working closely with the Head of Compliance to support regulatory and security requirements
- Managing third-party vendors, contracts and service reviews
- Monitoring the use of emerging AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot
- Supporting the business with a practical, service-led and enterprise-minded approach
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience leading internal IT infrastructure and support in a hands-on environment
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem expertise, especially Intune, Defender, Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of cyber security, operational resilience and IT governance
- Experience managing vendors and external technology partners
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day delivery
- Confident stakeholder manager who can work across technology, compliance and the wider business
- Someone who enjoys being visible, approachable and engaged with users in the office
