Information Technology Project Manager (Outside IR35)
I'm working with a high growth PE backed Insurance business and seeking a seasoned London Market IT project Manager responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives across the group, including both carrier and MGA platforms.
Work streams will span:
- Policy administration systems (PAS)
- Underwriting platforms
- Claims systems
- Data and reporting initiatives
- Infrastructure and cloud projects
- System integrations (carrier, broker, third-party vendors)
- Regulatory and compliance-driven change
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full project lifecycle delivery (initiation through to implementation and handover)
- Manage multiple concurrent IT workstreams in a scaling environment
- Define scope, timelines, budgets, and governance structures
- Coordinate internal tech teams and external vendors
- Drive stakeholder engagement across business and technology functions
- Ensure appropriate documentation, risk management, and reporting
- Support the build-out of project governance frameworks where required
- Operate effectively in both structured and agile delivery environments
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a pragmatic, commercially aware IT PM with:
- Proven experience delivering IT projects within the London Market, specialty insurance, reinsurance, or MGA environments
- Strong understanding of underwriting and operational insurance workflows
- Experience across core insurance systems (PAS, claims, delegated authority, data platforms)
- Vendor and third-party management experience
- Ability to operate in fast-growth / less structured environments
- Strong stakeholder management at senior level
- Excellent communication and delivery discipline
