Interim CTO - 3 Month Assignment - PE Backed Scale up
We are partnering with a private equity-backed organisation undergoing a significant technology and operational transformation. The business is entering a critical scale phase and is seeking an experienced Interim CTO to provide hands-on leadership across platform delivery, engineering effectiveness, and technology operations.
This is a high-impact assignment suited to an execution-oriented technology leader who has successfully delivered complex transformation programmes within regulated or fast-scaling environments.
The Opportunity:
The incoming Interim CTO will work closely with executive stakeholders to accelerate delivery across a large-scale platform modernisation initiative, while improving governance, engineering performance, and third-party delivery management.
This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on problem-solving. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at pace, making pragmatic technical decisions, and driving accountability across internal teams and external partners.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a proven interim technology leader with experience operating in complex, fast-moving environments.
You will likely bring:
- Prior experience as an Interim CTO, Transformation CTO, or senior technology executive
- Strong background within regulated sectors
- Demonstrated success leading platform modernisation or replatforming initiatives
- Experience managing system integrators, outsourced delivery teams, or managed service partners.
- Strong technical credibility with the ability to engage at both strategic and detailed levels
- A highly delivery-focused mindset with strong execution capability
- Exposure to modern AI technologies and practical enterprise use cases
- Low ego, collaborative leadership style, and willingness to lead from the front
