Business Development Manager - subscriptions
Overview:
This role is responsible for driving new business growth of Sifted’s leading business intelligence platform, Sifted Pro. It is a role that requires determination and willingness to succeed and for a commercially driven individual to consistently uncover new ways to win business from our ideal customer profile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently overachieve on monthly new business targets
- Ensure consistent levels of outbound prospecting focusing on high value potential clients.
- Consistently hit KPIs for calls and meetings booked.
- Be proactive in spotting new business opportunities
- To be able to deliver high level client discovery meetings to clearly understand their needs and objectives.
- To be able to deliver impactful product demos that fully explain the benefits of the product and how that relates back to the clients needs.
- To be accurate with monthly forecasting to within 10% of your delivery.
- To ensure consistent CRM hygiene for all of your deals and making sure they are in the correct stages at all times.
- To work with other teams across the business most specifically marketing to drive inbound lead generation campaigns.
- To consistently close deals with values exceeding pre agreed minimum value expectations
- To have a clear understanding of who Sifted key target clients are and put plans in place to maximise return from these clients over a long period of time.
- To be able to articulate client feedback and report this back so the product teams can prioritize on how the solution can be improved.
- Support on renewal accounts where appropriate.
- To be an advocate for Sifted Pro internally and externally and be relied upon by other team members to give support and guidance where appropriate.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
- 2 + years of sales and new business experience in B2B subscriptions
- Commercially driven mindset.
- Understanding of sales methodology and how this can be applied to this role.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Experience of CRM systems (Hubspot an advantage).
- Experience of accurate monthly forecasting.
- Understanding of the startup landscape is preferred but not required.
- Experience of selling to investment companies, law firms and advisories is a benefit.
