Role: Senior Backend Engineer (Node, TypeScript, AI tooling)

Location: Remote across the UK

Salary: 80-110k

Were kicking off a project with a well-funded AI research and product company focused on building advanced tools for creative professionals. The team works on generative AI technologies that help people create images, video, and interactive content more efficiently.

The role involves building web-based features, integrating APIs, and collaborating with teams working on AI-powered content generation. Youll be joining a curious, collaborative engineering team tackling challenging, high-impact problems in creative tools.

What youll do

Build interactive, browser-based experiences powered by generative AI

Design and implement API-driven features using Node + TypeScript

Collaborate with ML and backend teams on real-time media + collaboration tools

Ship high-quality code and improve performance, reliability, and scalability

What were looking for

4 years + experience as a software engineer (backend focus)

Strong TypeScript

Architecting production-ready cloud systems

Hands-on experience building and integrating APIs

Comfortable with cloud concepts (storage, CDNs, queues, serverless)
