Senior Analytics Engineer

Are you passionate about data, analytics, and building high-quality datasets that drive business impact? We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team and help shape the data landscape that empowers teams across the organization.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll collaborate with BI platform users, contribute to a vibrant data culture, and enable self-service analytics by delivering reliable, high-quality data.

What we’re looking for

• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python, with experience in platforms like Databricks, Airflow, dbt, and Looker.
• Deep understanding of data engineering best practices, including data warehousing, design, performance/cost optimisation, governance, observability, and monitoring.
• Experience working across different parts of the data stack and integrating complex systems.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, both in platform engineering and frontline business support.
• Ability to work autonomously, deliver impactful features, and influence the team roadmap.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable collaborating in a fast-changing marketplace or e-commerce environment.
• Experienced in communicating data requirements to upstream producers.
• Ability to support data scientists in building models while demonstrating strong business acumen, including understanding metrics like GMV, conversion rates, and user retention.
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to design, scope, and build high-quality data models.
• Clean up, standardize, and shift-left Looker definitions into the data stack, simplifying and improving performance.
• Refactor Looker models into upstream, performant data models, reducing reliance on manual code changes.
• Help build a culture of self-service analytics, empowering teams across the organization with reliable, accessible data.
