BI Manager - Be at the forefront of a BI transformation, leading the build of a modern function powered by Microsoft Fabric.

This organisation has ambitious plans for data. In just 18 months, they’ve moved from a standing start with Power BI to delivering organisation-wide reporting and beginning their migration to Microsoft Fabric. With senior leadership backing and a strong technical foundation already in place, they are now looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to guide the next stage of the journey.

You’ll take ownership of the BI function, ensuring reporting is accurate, trusted, and accessible, while helping the business to unlock new opportunities through analytics. It’s a chance to lead a capable team, influence stakeholders at all levels, and make a tangible impact on how data drives decisions.

What you’ll be doing as BI Manager
  • Leading the migration from on-prem reporting to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Developing clear, consistent reporting that the business can rely on – making data accessible, actionable, and trusted across different teams.
  • Supporting and developing your BI team, helping them balance technical growth with pragmatic delivery.
  • Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring analytics outputs are relevant, adopted, and add value.
  • Driving data quality improvements across the reporting landscape.
  • Exploring opportunities to use new techniques – from automation through to predictive analytics – to make data more proactive.
What we’re looking for
  • A BI leader with strong technical grounding in SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience managing or mentoring BI teams (developers, analysts, or scientists).
  • Track record of improving reporting quality, governance, and frameworks.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business language.
  • Experience with data migrations (to Fabric, Azure, or similar cloud platforms) would be an advantage.
  • Pragmatic and delivery-focused – able to work with imperfect data while still driving improvement.
This is a chance to lead a BI function that is already ahead of its sector peers and still growing in capability. You’ll play a central role in shaping how data is trusted, adopted, and used across the business, turning reporting into meaningful insight that supports better decisions at every level. All while positioning BI to take advantage of the latest Microsoft technologies.
