Network and Cabling Design Consultant

We're looking for an experienced Cabling and Network Design Specialist to lead a number of projects for a Big Four Tech company in London. Initially 6 months but likely to extend, the role will involve the planning and design of infrastructure from cabling, networks, smart building tech and telecoms. This is an advisory role with a focus on using your technology knowledge and exceptional design, technical writing and communication skills to drive the projects forward.

Key Skills:

• Strong cabling knowledge, Network infrastructure design
• Creation of IT Design
• Experience of Cabling, hardware, rack builds, DTU cooling
• Design and documentation, Technical writing
• Strong communication skills, Stakeholder management

Key experience:

• Infrastructure types:
  • Copper cabling, Fibre optic, Wireless, DAS, Smart building technology, IoT
• Codes and standards:
  • ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC, National Electrical Code (NEC), Local building codes, IEEE, BICSI

This is a contract role working in an onsite setting near Liverpool St station in London. Initially a 6 month contract with extension expected. The role would suit a Cabling and Network Engineer with previous hands on experience looking to use their design skills and step into an advisory role.
