A fast-growing retail and wholesale organisation are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Systems Manager to take ownership of their ERP platform and support a major systems transformation. This role will be heavily involved in data migration onto newer systems as well as ongoing integration development across the business.
The Role
You will manage, maintain, and enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring it operates as the backbone of the organisation's operations. You will play a key part in migrating legacy data, improving system processes, and delivering integrations with retail, wholesale, warehouse, finance, and e-commerce platforms. This role requires both functional and technical capability, including hands-on development experience.
Key Responsibilities
Own and optimise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Lead and support data migration activity to new platforms
Manage integrations between BC and key business systems (retail, WMS, POS, e-commerce, finance)
Provide hands-on development using AL and legacy C/AL where required
Troubleshoot technical and functional issues, escalating through partners as needed
Work with internal teams to improve workflows and system processes
Maintain documentation, permissions, and best practices
Take ownership of small change requests and improvement projects end-to-end
Essential Skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Hands-on AL and C/AL development experience
Technical understanding of APIs, integrations, EDI, or middleware
Data migration experience within ERP environments
Good knowledge of finance, warehousing, supply chain, or retail operations
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions
Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor management
Nice to Have
SQL experience
Experience with retail or wholesale integrations (WMS, POS, e-commerce)
Background in fashion, retail, distribution, or omni-channel businesses
