Scientist
NGS Scientist 1 - Guildford
You are an early-career molecular biologist who wants to build on and expand the scope of your assay development and NGS skills.
We are working closely with a Guildford-based company responsible for developing advanced molecular and multi-omic assays to detect rare cancer signals. This role sits at the forefront of liquid biopsy and translational diagnostics, integrating cutting-edge biology with a well-regulated development pathway.
You'll design, optimise and validate DNA/RNA molecular assays including independent NGS library prep, PCR, qPCR and digital PCR, for a unique technology that pulls imaging, proteomic and genomic analysis from a single sample. You will therefore have the opportunity to develop multiple skillsets in parallel, vastly expanding the scope of your future expertise.
About you:
MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology or related discipline
1–2 years' experience in molecular assay development or diagnostics
Hands-on expertise in PCR, NGS and/or digital PCR
Location: Guildford (5 days onsite)
