EUC Architect
UK/London | Primarily Remote | Long-term engagement
SixteenFifty is supporting a global FMCG organisation looking for an experienced EUC Architect to support the continued modernisation of its end-user computing estate.
Following a recent Windows 11 migration, the focus is now on evolving the wider EUC environment, defining the architecture and roadmap across endpoint management, security, automation and Modern Workplace technologies.
The technical implementation is largely delivered by an external SI, so this role will focus on architecture, technical direction and governance, while working closely with internal Infrastructure, Security, Operations and Service teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and develop the EUC architecture and roadmap
- Define architecture across Windows 11, Intune, Autopilot and Autopatch
- Drive modernisation of endpoint provisioning, management, patching and device life cycle
- Define how EUC integrates with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Conditional Access and endpoint security
- Provide architectural oversight and challenge to the SI responsible for implementation
- Work closely with EUC Operations and Service teams to ensure solutions are supportable and transition effectively into BAU
- Define technical standards, high-level designs and architecture documentation
- Identify opportunities for greater automation, standardisation and simplification across the EUC estate
Required experience:
- Strong background as an EUC Architect
- Extensive Microsoft Modern Workplace experience, particularly Intune, Autopilot, Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
- Good knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, Defender for Endpoint and endpoint security
- Strong understanding of enterprise device management, application deployment and life cycle management
- Experience working across both architecture and operational/service environments
- Experience governing delivery through external SIs or technology partners
- Comfortable operating within a large, global enterprise environment
This is a long-term B2B contract with the potential to run across multiple years. The position is primarily remote, although candidates must be UK-based and able to attend the client's London office when required.
