Role Overview

Solution Architect responsible for leading the discovery, architectural design, and migration of a retail digital platform into a new Azure cloud environment. The role involves assessing existing applications, creating low-level designs, and delivering a parallel migration strategy while ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-optimized architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical discovery and assessment of ~20–50 Azure PaaS applications.
• Design low-level architecture (LLD) for Azure platform migration.
• Implement parallel “build from scratch” migration strategy.
• Design secure networking using private endpoints and private DNS zones.
• Plan geo-replicated disaster recovery across Azure regions.
• Conduct code-level analysis (.NET / TypeScript) to resolve configuration dependencies.
• Lead pilot migration and estimation for cost, effort, and timelines.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Azure PaaS services (App Services, API Management, Azure SQL).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking (private endpoints, subnet configuration, private DNS).
• Experience with large Azure SQL database migration.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in parallel migration and zero-downtime deployments.
• Strong stakeholder communication and estimation skills.
• Software development background (preferably .NET).
