Our client, a key part of the United Nations, are looking to hire a Sharepoint & Liferay Technical Lead for an initial 4 month remote contract
You will be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of application development projects on SharePoint/Micsoft365 and Liferay platforms, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
- Define and maintain the target architecture and technology roadmap for enterprise content management platform (Liferay), collaboration platforms Intranet, document management, and records management platforms.
- Lead the design, implementation, modernization, and life cycle management of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership for the development of AI enabled Enterprise Search Platform and Microsoft Copilot products.
- Provide architectural support when needed for Azure services supporting data integration, identity, automation, and application hosting.
- Advise business owners, project managers and technical teams, on platform strategy, solution options, risks, costs, and technology decisions.
- Provide technical oversight and design assurance for projects, procurements, platform upgrades, migrations, and vendor-delivered solutions.
- Maintain architecture documentation and ensure effective knowledge transfer, operational readiness, vendor accountability, and continuous improvement of the platform portfolio.
You will need:
- Demonstrable experience of progressively responsible professional experience in the design, implementation, administration, and governance of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, and related enterprise collaboration and cloud services.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, including collaboration, document management, Intranet, information architecture, governance, security, and platform administration concepts.
- Good understanding of RAG GenAI applications and hands on experience in working with Elastic search for enterprise search including index design, vectorisation and semantic indexes. Develop connectors as required to Liferay or Sharepoint sites.
- Experience of Administration management of Microsoft Copilot, including the review of new features prior to release.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end application development projects, including requirements analysis, solution design, development oversight, testing, deployment, vendor coordination, and transition to operations.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, for developing, integrating, and automating enterprise business solutions.
- Proven ability to develop solution architectures, technical roadmaps, standards, and design documentation, and to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and senior management.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and services, including identity, integration, application hosting, automation, security, monitoring, and cloud governance.
- Any Microsoft certifications a bonus
