We are seeking a proactive Quality Assistant to join a global engineering company based in Crewkerne, Somerset. This is a long-term temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to develop your career within a precision-driven environment. You will support the quality team in ensuring products meet strict customer requirements, providing accurate inspection and documentation, and assisting with wider quality processes.

• Assist with inspection activities to verify parts against drawings, specifications, and quality standards

• Generate and maintain accurate inspection records and reports

• Provide IT support within the quality function, including data entry, document control, and report preparation

• Support calibration of measurement instruments and ensure records are up to date

• Work with the Quality Manager and wider team to uphold standards and resolve quality issues

• Assist with audits, process route card reviews, and continuous improvement activities

• Strong IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office and quality-related software confidently

• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Previous experience in a quality, inspection, or manufacturing support role (preferred)

• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments (advantageous)

• A detail-oriented and methodical approach with excellent communication skills
