Senior Snowflake Data Architect / Lead
Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 basic per annum
Location: Remote (with rare/ occasional travel to Ireland)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Architect / Lead to take ownership of our Snowflake data platform within an insurance-focused environment . This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and strong stakeholder skills.
You will act as the primary point of contact for Snowflake , building strong working relationships and helping shape the overall Snowflake strategy and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimisation of Snowflake data solutions
- Own the Snowflake platform and act as the SPOC for Snowflake-related initiatives
- Design and implement Data Vault data models
- Ensure data architecture aligns with insurance domain requirements and regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across the data function
Required Experience
- Around 15 years’ experience in data engineering / data architecture roles
- Strong, hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Proven experience implementing Data Vault methodologies
- Mandatory experience within the insurance domain
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
