Join the SmartCo Team as an AWS DevOps Engineer

Location: UK Remote

SmartCo are currently supporting one of our leading financial services clients on their GenAI transformation programme and are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud AI Engineer to join the team.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building and optimising AWS-based infrastructure to support AI-driven solutions within a large, regulated enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Deliver end-to-end cloud engineering and infrastructure automation within the GenAI programme.
• Design and deploy AI infrastructure pipelines ideally using GitLab or similar CI/CD tools to deliver AI solutions.
• Implement and optimise core cloud services: networking, compute, storage, monitoring.
• Exposure to AWS Bedrock, AWS Kendra, AWS Rekognition, GCP Vertex AI, LangGraph/LangSmith, or Agentic Frameworks (MCP/A2A).
• Work with Terraform (IaC) and Python for automation/scripting.
• Operate effectively within large-scale, regulated environments, aligning with compliance and governance standards.
• Background in financial services or enterprise-scale environments is highly desirable.
