Resource Manager
Resource Manager (Contract) – NHS EPR Digitisation (NHS and EPR experience essential)
We require a Resource Manager, with a strong PMO background and HR experience to support a major EPR digitisation programme. This is a hands on contract role focused on bringing structure, visibility and pace to demand and capacity across programmes and workstreams, and embedding a resourcing approach that leaders can rely on.
The Role
- Implement a clear, workable resource management approach, including how workstreams request, approve, allocate and track people
- Establish practical process and policy foundations covering timesheets, BAU versus project work, leave, sickness, incidents, and role capacity assumptions
- Define role and competency profiles, including band or grade alignment, must have skills, and experience
- Build and maintain a demand versus capacity view to highlight shortages and upcoming pinch points early
- Review and set up the resource management tool, templates and reporting aligned to PMO needs
- Clarify governance and decision routes, including who decides recruitment, allocation and priorities, and how issues are escalated
- Align with HR and IT to streamline onboarding and offboarding, including access, devices and permissions
- Work with Commercial and Procurement on contract, supplier and secondment visibility, plus cost profiles and budget alignment
Essential Skills and Experience
Applicants must have:
- Recent NHS experience within a Trust or NHS programme environment
- Proven experience on an EPR implementation or digitisation programme
Applications without both NHS and EPR experience will not be progressed.
