Technical Decommissioning Building Readiness Lead/Decommissioning Client side Project Manager, CDM 2015 is required to work for our client within the public sector. London based. 2 year project.
Pay £625-£650 (umbrella)
We are seeking an experienced Technical Decommissioning and Building Readiness Lead to act as the client-side lead for the technical decommissioning of a major building, ensuring it is safely, compliantly and efficiently prepared for handover to the Principal Contractor.
This is a key role within a high-profile programme, responsible for delivering a fully decommissioned, construction-ready building supported by complete, verified and transferable technical, statutory, health and safety, asset and operational information.
You will bring significant client-side project or programme management experience and a proven track record in building decommissioning, construction readiness, enabling works, major decants
Experience preparing occupied buildings for Principal Contractor handover.
Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, pre-construction information and client duties.
Experience commissioning and coordinating technical surveys, intrusive investigations and statutory inspections.
Knowledge of building services, utility isolations, hazardous materials and asset verification.
Strong stakeholder, supplier and contractor management skills.
Experience in programme controls, risk management, governance and assurance.
Procurement, contract management, budget management and forecasting experience.
Excellent information management and document control capability.
Experience within complex public sector, heritage, regulated or security-sensitive environments would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the technical decommissioning and building readiness strategy.
Lead surveys, investigations, asset verification, utility isolations, building services decommissioning and asset removal activities.
Coordinate consultants, technical advisers, Facilities Management teams, the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor.
Support the client in discharging its duties under CDM 2015 and relevant Building Safety Act requirements.
Assemble and assure pre-construction information, statutory documentation, asset records and residual risk information.
Manage programme plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions and actions.
Lead stakeholder engagement across operational, technical and programme teams.
Oversee procurement and performance management of surveys, investigations, consultancy services and decommissioning works.
Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
Maintain robust document control, audit trails and information security
