Commercial Manager - DV Cleared - Defence - £560 p/d inside IR35 - 6 months

One of our clients is recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering £560 per day, inside IR35.

This role is hybrid working and they are based near Milton Keynes, London and Aldershot - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. There will be regular national and international travel with this role.

This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. A minimum of SC clearance is required for this role. Therefore, you will need to be SC or DV cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.

As Commercial Manager, you will provide a professional procurement service across a diverse range of Categories which will include specific military third parties and associates. You will also develop, grow and maintain the supplier base.

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience of working within a procurement role; analysing and evaluating tender bids against set criteria, negotiating with suppliers and awarding contracts (up to a delegated level of authority)
• Extensive working experience of developing public sector commercial and procurement documentation
• Working knowledge of PCR and DSPCR (Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations)
• Working experience of Supplier and Market Management
• Ability to communicate specific procurement requirements to supplier
• Experience of negotiating and building partnerships with suppliers
• Providing specialist support, advice and expertise to meet customer/stakeholder requirements and comply with EU and UK regulations.
• Evidence of managing risk in the supply chain and supply chain development
• Full MCIPS qualified or working towards
• Experience of the MOD operational and procurement process (desirable)
• Solid working experience of procurement processes, including drafting;ITT documentation, OJEU Notices, PQQs and ITT documentation (desirable)
• Understanding of Central Government procurement systems and standards (desirable)
• Financial and commercial acumen focusing on achieving required outcomes whilst applying the Most Economical Advantageous Tender, (MEAT) model. (desirable)
• Working knowledge of Bravo/Jaggaer or equivalent e-portals (desirable)
