Job Title: Senior Python Developer

Contract Duration: 12 Months
Location: Hybrid (2 days on-site in Manchester, Bristol, or London)
Rate: 600-650 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance Requirement: Active SC Clearance (Candidates can start on BPSS while SC is being transferred)

Our client is embarking on an exciting project to transform their digital services, and we are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team. This role is crucial as one of the first development positions on this project, and we need someone with extensive experience who can think strategically about both short- and long-term development processes.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Python Developer, you will work within a multi-disciplinary product team, leading the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable open data services and APIs. Your technical leadership will be vital in shaping the software architecture and engineering practices for the team.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will have:

Significant experience in software engineering, particularly in leading the development of production-level web services.

Strong coding ability in Python and Ruby, along with proficiency in at least one other modern programming language.

Extensive experience with Git as a version control system and a commitment to effective documentation practices.

Experience in developing containerized applications and collaborating with engineers for cloud deployment.The ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders and clearly explain complex technical concepts. Proven experience leading delivery across multi-disciplinary teams.
