Senior User Researcher, (Government Cyber experience) Hybrid - 1 day a week onsite working (London/Manchester or Bristol)

a.Experience being a Senior User Researcher across a large, complicated environment, having worked across multiple teams/departments

b.Able to evidence that they have personally run projects using a range of User Research methods/techniques and championed them up to a very senior level

c.Candidates must have undertaken research with a community of specialist users that have complex needs, within a Government or public sector environment

Desirable:

Experience setting up and championing a user research function in a prior role

Experience with Government Cyber business needs or Cyber Services product development. Candidates who have prior knowledge of Government Cyber business needs or have worked within Cyber Services product development before will stand out

Government or public sector experience is essential, the team welcomes applications for candidates who have a mixture of experience, provided that Government/Public sector is also represented there

The team is looking for a Senior User Researcher, candidates looking to transfer skills from other UCD roles will not be suitable

You will have a tolerance for working in a fast-paced environment

Work directly on the development of cyber security and resilience services and programmes

Undertake fast paced research planning, design and delivery within an agile model of service delivery

Support critical service design and business decisions with research through a range of mixed methods

Work closely with the Senior Service Designer, Senior Content Designer, Senior Delivery Manager and Senior Developer to prioritise user needs, user stories and findings

Have an understanding of Government cyber business needs in order to align research design and insights appropriately Work with central gov stakeholders to identify and recruit suitable user research participants

Be able to conduct user research in accordance with the Service Manual in large complex environments

Work in an agile environment with other specialists in accordance with the Service Manual
