Senior Technical Architect - Network - Hybrid - SC Cleared - Secure Environments

One of our government clients is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering £658 per day INSIDE IR35.

Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They are offering hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite.

This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.

As the Network Architect, you will support our client with the delivery and management of key national security capabilities. You will be working with customers, engineering and development teams to support the solution. During this role you will be maintaining a key business relationships within government and capability ensuring the security of the nation. You will be providing key technical inputs and governance.

Experience Required:

• Excellent customer and people skills, primarily dealing with national security government customers
• Experience in relevant roles, including technologies in enterprise and virtual environments and of working within a secure environment such as the FCDO, MOD, CTP and Home Office.
• Experience of server/operating system (Microsoft and Linux), network technologies, as a minimum:

- VMware virtualisation platforms (including VCD, VSAN, and NSX)
- SASE architecture
- High grade network encryption technologies and configuration

• Experience creating technical and architectural documents such as options assessments, low and high-level technical designs.
• Experience of requirements management and the ownership of requirements.
• Working knowledge of auditing and security products configuration.
• A comprehensive understanding of NCSC, GDS, CIS, Cyber Essentials, and NIST IT security principles, along with experience in UK government technology strategies and policies.
• Worked in a Matrix organisation structure.
• Infrastructure as a Code (IaC), Containerisation, and Microservices.
