Technical Business Analyst

Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their Technical Business Analyst @ Sheffield, UK (Hybrid Working)

Key area:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join an established team working within an architecture-focused environment. This role will be pivotal in developing and documenting application recovery processes, including runbooks and recovery procedures, while ensuring alignment with platform and architectural standards. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and documentation skills, alongside a solid understanding of system architecture and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to document application recovery procedures and runbooks

• Identify and map system dependencies critical to recovery processes

• Produce clear, comprehensive, and structured documentation to support operational resilience

• Gather and analyse key data required for recovery planning

• Work alongside an existing team managing multiple runbooks and workstreams

• Facilitate and participate in meetings to resolve queries related to runbooks and recovery processes

• Ensure consistency and completeness across all documentation outputs

• Technical & Architectural Understanding: Strong awareness of systems architecture and dependencies

• Familiarity with Mainframe technologies is advantageous

• The role sits within an existing team managing multiple workbooks and recovery plans

• The successful candidate will be expected to lead discussions and manage queries related to runbook development

• This position is critical in ensuring robust and efficient recovery processes across the organisation’s applications and platforms
