Data Test Engineer | Poland | Financial Services
We are seeking a Data Migration Test Engineer with strong Snowflake and Azure data stack experience to join a consultancy team delivering data platform transformation projects for a leading financial services client.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality, secure, and accurate data migrations, working closely with engineering and data teams to validate ETL pipelines and data transformations within a complex Azure and Snowflake environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience testing data migrations and data warehouse solutions
- Strong SQL expertise and understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, and Snowflake
- Experience validating data transformations and outputs end-to-end
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Integration, exploratory, and performance testing experience
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Experience working with third-party vendors and distributed teams

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute detailed test plans for data migration and transformation projects.
- Perform data validation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Verify ETL processes and dependencies across Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Snowflake.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to triage issues and resolve defects efficiently.
- Document test results, issues, and resolutions clearly.
- Ensure security, access controls, error handling, and logging are maintained across pipelines.
- Integrate test automation into CI pipelines to improve deployment quality.
- Conduct performance testing and tuning of data pipelines and queries.
- Proven experience testing data migrations and data warehouse solutions
- Strong SQL expertise and understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse, and Snowflake

- Scripting for test automation (e.g., Python).
