OneStream Lead Consultant - Lease Accounting

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Consultant with strong OneStream expertise and proven lease accounting delivery experience to join a growing consultancy.

OneStream experience is strongly preferred, however, candidates with deep SAP BPC or TM1 backgrounds will be considered.

Hands-on lease accounting experience (IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842) and prior consulting experience are essential for this role.

This position will combine functional accounting expertise, technical solution design, and client-facing consulting responsibilities across complex transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Accounting Leadership (Essential)

• Lead the design and implementation of lease accounting solutions aligned to IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842.
• Translate technical accounting requirements into scalable OneStream system designs.
• Configure and oversee calculations relating to right-of-use (ROU) assets, lease liabilities, interest accretion, depreciation, and disclosures.
• Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and reporting accuracy across multi-entity environments.
• Advise CFOs, Financial Controllers, and Technical Accounting teams on best practice lease accounting system architecture.

OneStream Solution Delivery

• Lead full lifecycle OneStream implementations across consolidation, financial close, planning, and reporting.
• Design and configure solutions within OneStream (preferred), SAP BPC, or TM1.
• Own workstreams from design through build, testing, and go-live.
• Oversee data integration between ERP systems and EPM platforms.
• Ensure strong governance, documentation, and delivery standards.

Consulting & Client Engagement (Essential)

• Facilitate design workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
• Provide strategic advisory support to senior finance stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout delivery.
• Mentor junior consultants and support team capability development.

Required Experience

• Proven hands-on experience delivering lease accounting solutions (IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842) – essential.
• Demonstrable consulting experience within EPM
• Strong experience with OneStream preferred; alternatively SAP BPC or IBM TM1.
• Experience leading workstreams or full project delivery.
• Strong understanding of financial consolidation, reporting, and finance processes.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within system configuration.

Desirable

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Experience across global, multi-entity organisations.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior consultants.
