Principal Anaplan Consultant
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Principal Anaplan Consultant to join a growing EPM and finance transformation practice. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in FP&A, enterprise planning, and financial consolidation, combined with deep Anaplan expertise and a recognised accounting qualification.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading end-to-end Anaplan implementations, advising senior finance stakeholders, and delivering scalable planning and performance management solutions across complex organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise Anaplan solutions across FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and financial reporting
- Engage directly with senior finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable planning models
- Drive finance transformation initiatives focused on improving planning accuracy, reporting efficiency, and decision-making capabilities
- Support financial consolidation processes and integration with wider EPM ecosystems
- Provide solution architecture guidance and best practice modelling within Anaplan
- Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Mentor junior consultants and support capability development across the practice
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Support pre-sales activities including demos, solution design, and proposal development
Required Experience
- Extensive experience delivering Anaplan solutions in a consulting or enterprise environment
- Strong expertise across FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and management reporting
- Experience supporting or delivering financial consolidation solutions
- Strong understanding of finance processes, reporting structures, and performance management frameworks
- Proven experience engaging with senior finance stakeholders and leading client workshops
- Experience working across full project lifecycles from discovery through to deployment
Qualifications & Skills
- Recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Anaplan Certified Model Builder qualification (Solution Architect certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of finance transformation and EPM landscapes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to lead multiple workstreams and manage complex client requirements
- Experience integrating Anaplan with ERP or consolidation platforms is highly desirable
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to consolidation platforms such as OneStream, Oracle FCCS, SAP BPC, or Tagetik
- Experience within professional services or consulting environments
- Knowledge of broader EPM technologies and finance transformation programmes
- Team leadership or practice development experience
