What You'll Be Doing
- Lead a specialist DevOps group tasked with building and supporting infrastructure and automation systems for software delivery.
- Drive the evolution of internal CI/CD pipelines, deployment frameworks, and operational workflows.
- Work alongside cross-functional teamsproduct owners, engineering, media systems, and monitoringto ensure reliable and scalable platform delivery.
- Ensure robust incident handling, service uptime, and system performance through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Manage infrastructure budgets and resource optimization strategies.
- Stay ahead of emerging DevOps tools and methodologies, integrating them into project workflows as relevant.
- Foster a high-performing, continuously learning team culture through mentoring and professional development.
- Manage the teams delivery scope, resource allocation, timelines, and agile development practices.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong background in delivering complex infrastructure projects within agile, multidisciplinary teams.
- Skilled in designing resilient, scalable, and cost-conscious architectures in coordination with solutions architects.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring or upskilling other engineers.
- Advanced scripting and development experience (e.g., Python, Bash, Java, Golang, or JavaScript).
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux systems and modern DevOps toolchains.
- Working knowledge of GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD, FluxCD).
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong containerization background (Kubernetes, Docker) and associated tooling (Helm, Kustomize).
- Practical understanding of cloud security, networking protocols, and secure deployments.
- Experienced in observability stackslogging (e.g., ELK), monitoring (e.g., Prometheus), and tracing (e.g., Jaeger, OpenTelemetry).
- Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, or similar) are advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in high-availability environments (broadcasting or streaming experience is a plus).
- Enthusiastic, proactive team player with a passion for innovation.
