Role Overview
A leading global media and technology organization is seeking a Senior Product Owner – Privacy & Data Platforms to drive the development of privacy solutions across marketing and customer data ecosystems.
This role sits at the intersection of privacy, product development, and marketing technology, supporting the responsible use of data across personalization, advertising, measurement, attribution, and identity resolution.
You will act as a privacy subject matter expert embedded within product and engineering teams, guiding the design of data-driven products while ensuring responsible and compliant use of customer data at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the privacy subject matter expert for data-driven marketing and product initiatives including personalization, measurement, attribution, and targeting.
- Assess and analyze complex device-level data flows, including cookies, mobile identifiers, IP signals, and probabilistic identifiers.
- Conduct technical privacy impact assessments and identify potential risks across platforms, vendors, and integrations.
- Guide engineering and product teams on privacy-aware design decisions and trade-offs during development.
- Build and evolve a privacy solutions toolkit, including reusable patterns, governance guardrails, and automated checks.
- Review new technology integrations, SDKs, vendors, and platforms to ensure privacy compliance.
- Lead privacy incident response, supporting root cause analysis, risk assessment, and remediation planning.
- Coach product and engineering teams on privacy-first data practices, consent enforcement, and data minimisation strategies.
- Own the roadmap and backlog for privacy platform capabilities and tools supporting multiple product teams.
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within data, privacy, or marketing technology environments.
- Strong understanding of device-level data collection across web, mobile, and OTT platforms.
- Experience working with tags, SDKs, pixels, server-side tracking, and event data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data identifiers and signals, including cookies, mobile IDs, IP-based signals, and probabilistic identifiers.
- Ability to influence engineers, architects, and stakeholders in complex technical environments.
- Experience leading privacy incident investigations and technical risk assessments.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of privacy and data regulations such as GDPR, PECR, and industry frameworks (TCF).
- Experience working in marketing technology (MarTech), digital advertising, or customer data platforms.
- Background in large-scale digital platforms or media technology environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
