Security Architect

WE ARE

SoftServe isn’t just about technology - it’s about open-minded people who love technology and have everything they need to pursue their passion for creating innovation. SoftServe is a global digital services and consulting company founded in 1993, working on more than 2,000 projects with clients across the USA, Europe and LATAM regions.

With over 30 years of experience in digital software development and consulting, SoftServe helps organisations solve complex business challenges, create industry-disrupting technology, and accelerate growth and innovation while optimising operational efficiency.

Our Critical Services Centre of Excellence (CoE) brings together security, cloud, and AI experts to design and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient systems for enterprise and government clients. We work across multiple domains - from data privacy and cloud security to AI assurance - ensuring that every solution meets the highest standards of compliance, reliability, and trust.

We are now inviting a Security Architect to join our UK-based team, contributing to large-scale digital transformation programmes that handle sensitive personal and medical data, integrating AI responsibly and securely across hybrid environments.

IF YOU ARE

  • An experienced Security Architect or Security Lead with 8+ years of experience designing secure systems in large, complex, or regulated environments
  • Proficient in cloud security architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in IAM, key management, data encryption, and network segmentation
  • Skilled in securing AI/ML workloads and data pipelines, ensuring the AI systems have controlled, auditable, and principle-based access to sensitive information
  • Experienced with hybrid architectures integrating on-premises, legacy, and multi-cloud systems, maintaining security consistency and compliance
  • Knowledgeable in security standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, and NHS DSPT
  • Familiar with AI security and data governance principles, including data minimisation, secure model access, and AI transparency requirements
  • Experienced in intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), vulnerability scanning, endpoint protection, and security incident management
  • Skilled in designing network and application security controls, including WAFs, firewalls, zero-trust models, and identity federation mechanisms
  • Able to perform threat modelling, risk assessments, and security posture reviews for cloud-native and AI-based architectures
  • Competent in automating security controls and monitoring using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS Config, or Azure Policy
  • Confident in data classification, encryption key management, and compliance auditing for highly sensitive or personal data (including health data)
  • Experienced in presenting and defending architectural decisions to government security panels, assurance boards, and technical governance groups
  • A strong communicator and collaborator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders, engineers, and external security authorities
  • Possessing a security or cloud certification (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or Azure Security Engineer) — highly desirable

AND YOU WANT TO

  • Design and lead the implementation of secure architectures for AI-enabled digital services that manage sensitive personal and medical information
  • Define security frameworks and controls that protect data while enabling AI systems to operate efficiently and responsibly
  • Architect cloud-first, compliant solutions that meet stringent government and industry security requirements
  • Develop security-by-design principles and embed them into every stage of the engineering lifecycle — from design to deployment
  • Work closely with Technical Architects, ML Engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end protection of data and systems
  • Implement proactive security monitoring, incident response, and resilience strategies, protecting infrastructure from potential threats and attacks
  • Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and continuous compliance validation across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Support security reviews and presentations with government bodies and independent security assessors to gain approval for system designs
  • Drive a culture of responsible AI and data governance, ensuring that systems operate safely, transparently, and ethically
  • Lead efforts in automating compliance and continuous security improvement, using modern DevSecOps practices and tooling

TOGETHER WE WILL

  • Deliver secure and trustworthy AI-powered systems that meet the highest standards of privacy, compliance, and performance
  • Collaborate with world-leading engineers, architects, and cybersecurity experts to design solutions that protect people and data
  • Work across diverse industries and government organisations, tackling high-impact security challenges in complex environments
