Principal Software Engineer (AI) - £200k (up to £400K total comp)
Software Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a well-funded, elite AI Product Lab that works directly with leading B2B SaaS companies to conceive, build and scale production AI products.
The team operates as an embedded product engineering group, owning customer-facing AI systems from 0-1 and through early scale.
They're looking for a Principal Software Engineer (Full Stack) to lead engineering efforts on greenfield AI products. You'll work closely with founders and C-level executives to bring new AI offerings to market while remaining hands-on.
Key Skills
- Full-stack engineering (Python, AWS/GCP, React, TypeScript)
- Extensive experience building and shipping 0-1 products
- Recent experience with applied AI systems (LLMs, agents, RAG, evals)
- Ability to work directly with founders, CTOs and senior technical stakeholders to translate business problems into shipped software
- Ideally previous startup experience or experience in AI-first product teams
This is a rare opportunity for a senior, hands-on engineer to join an elite AI Product Lab, helping shape AI product offerings for leading B2B SaaS organisations. The base salary ranges from £170K - £200K, with total compensation up to around £400K. The role is London-based with a hybrid working model.
