The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Cleared DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. This role requires an active security clearance and experience working within regulated or security-sensitive environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and security-focused engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding client requirements, liaising with stakeholders and speaking with managers
- Implementing solutions to deploy and maintain highly available and scalable citizen-facing and private services and applications
- Implementing and managing continuous delivery systems and methodologies across cloud environments (Azure).
- Providing feedback to project teams on how the platform is working
- Advise developers on how they use specific systems and configure CI/CD pipelines
- Automating and improving the development and release processes.
Key Skills/Experience
- Active Security Clearance (SC) or equivalent government security clearance, with the ability to maintain clearance throughout employment.
- Proven experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Bamboo.
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Datadog.
- Strong understanding of Linux administration, networking, cloud security, and DevSecOps principles.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
