SailPoint Technical Consultant

Job title: SailPoint Technical Consultant Day rate: £450 per day - Outside IR35 / Limited Company Duration: 6 months Location: Fully remote / WFH Start date: ASAP Role We are seeking an experienced SailPoint Technical Consultant to lead the technical delivery of a SailPoint implementation (IGA) within a complex enterprise security environment. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring deep expertise in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and/or IdentityIQ (IIQ). The successful applicant will work closely with the client's CISO, security stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to review and understand the existing solution design, then lead the configuration, integration and deployment of the platform.Responsibilities

• Review and validate the existing SailPoint solution design, deployment scope, technical dependencies and target architecture
• Implement the agreed SailPoint solution, recommending and applying technical refinements where required
• Lead the hands-on configuration, integration, and deployment of SailPoint, including integration with Microsoft Entra ID, identity sources, enterprise applications, and target systems
• Configure core identity governance capabilities, including Joiner, Mover and Leaver (JML) processes, access requests, provisioning, roles, entitlements, access certifications, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls
• Troubleshoot and resolve identity, provisioning, connector, configuration, and data issues throughout delivery
• Support testing, production readiness, go-live, and post-deployment stabilisation
• Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer to ensure a successful handover

Required Experience

• Recent hands-on experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and/or IdentityIQ (IIQ)
• Experience implementing and delivering SailPoint solutions through configuration, integration, testing and go-live
• Deep understanding of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) principles and best practices
• Practical experience configuring: SailPoint connectors, APIs, Workflows, Provisioning 
• Identity lifecycle processes
• Experience integrating SailPoint with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across: Identity data, Access models, Provisioning, Connectors, Downstream systems
• Ability to work independently while identifying delivery risks early and recommending pragmatic solutions
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior security leaders, architects, and technical teams

Desirable

• SailPoint certification (IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud)
• Experience within regulated or security-sensitive environments
• Experience recovering or de-risking complex identity programmes
• Familiarity with audit, compliance, and formal security governance frameworks
• Experience working within blended client and professional services delivery teams
