Test Automation Specialist

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in data testing and test automation
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud data platforms
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
• Experience with:
• PyTest
• REST API testing tools
• Python or PySpark
• GitLab/Azure DevOps pipelines
• Experience validating large-scale datasets and data transformations
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
• Understanding of Delta Lake, Parquet, and Lakehouse architectures
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment validation
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies

Microsoft Fabric Components Knowledge

Experience testing one or more of:

• Data Factory Pipelines
• Lakehouse
• Notebooks
• Dataflows Gen2
• Power BI
• Warehouse
• Event Streams
• Real-Time Analytics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Experience with big data technologies and distributed processing
• Exposure to data governance and data lineage tools
• Knowledge of performance and scalability testing for data workloads
• Understanding of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts
• ISTQB or relevant testing certification preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience with streaming/event-driven architectures
• Strong understanding medallion architecture
• Experience testing AI/ML data pipelines
• Exposure to enterprise reporting and analytics platforms
• Knowledge of security and compliance testing for cloud data platforms
